In order to further promote National Ice Cream month, I created a board on Pinterest with ice cream recipes. These recipes included homemade ice cream as well as using IDFA members' products to create different ice cream concoctions. Below shows the board that is on IDFA's Pinterest.

As a member of the communication team, I also helped my supervisors oversee the new website design. Marti assigned me to to interview about 15 IDFA staff members about how they felt about the IDFA website. The survey allowed IDFA staff members to provide feedback about the website. The website was updated about a year ago, so staff members could give their feedback about how much more the website still needs to be constructed. Below is a copy of one of the surveys I asked staff members:
The main reason for conducting these interviews was to receive an understanding about how the website aids the IDFA staff to cater the needs of IDFA members. Members often call the staff to navigate the website or find an article about a particular issue. After surveying several people in the office, I summarized my results with the intern. Our findings and analysis is documented below
Finally, I began to create different social media posts for National Ice Cream Day on July 21, 2013. I used HootSuite to schedule tweets on IDFA's Twitter with tweets related to National Ice Creamy Day. I created a Word document with potential tweets for the holiday and then scheduled them to tweet about every hour throughout the day. The tweets explained how different ice cream companies celebrated the national holiday. I also added some fun fact tweets to give IDFA Twitter followers more information about the ice cream holiday. Below are some of the tweets I scheduled and posted that day.
119 years ago, President Reagan urged Americans to observe National #IceCream Day. How are you celebrating?
