Welcome to Justine Hong's portfolio for COMM386
Hello, my name is Justine Hong and I am a senior studying communication with a concentration in public relations at the University of Maryland, College Park. During the summer of 2013, I interned with the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) as the communications and social media intern. My internship period lasted from June 3, 2013 through August 2, 2013. My project consisted of creating new social media platforms for IDFA and utilizing existing social media platforms for the National Ice Cream Party, which was held on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Goal: Utilize social media platforms and increase interactions for IDFA. Objective: Create a new platform of social media that IDFA has yet to utilize. Objective: Utilize the Facebook and Twitter pages by posting daily multimedia and dairy-related news to IDFA. Goal: Achieve a high attendance of IDFA members, legislators and the general public at the Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party. Objective: Use Facebook to market the ice cream party and achieve a list of more than 100 attendees. Objective: Use a specific hash tag to create awareness about the National Ice Cream Party and achieve more than 100 interactions from Twitter users. |
